Reignite Your Dreams: "Wouldn't It Be Cool If?”
When did you stop dreaming? Did it become unsafe? Maybe life’s demands took over, and somewhere along the way responsibility took over?
I know that happened for me and I think it happens to all of us. I wanted to share this simple yet powerful exercise to help you reignite that inner spark: It's called the "Wouldn't it be cool if?" challenge. I practice this daily.
Step 1: Hands on Your Heart
At this moment you are giving yourself permission to connect with yourself. Take a few deep breaths and allow everything to settle. Let your thoughts quiet down, even if just for a moment.
Step 2: Ask the Question
Ask yourself: "Wouldn't it be cool if...?" Stay quiet and don’t put any pressure on yourself. Just be still and listen. Let your intuition guide you.
Step 3: Write It Down
Complete the sentence: "Wouldn't it be cool if..." and then just write…….The size of the dream doesn’t matter; what matters is that you’ve connected with it.
Step 4: Reflect and Feel
For the next seven days, dedicate a few quiet minutes each day to reflect on your "Wouldn't it be cool if?" statement. With your hands on your heart, repeat your dream to yourself. Allow yourself to immerse in it. Visualize what it feels like, tastes and smells like. Does it make you smile or feel excited?
Visualization isn’t just a fun exercise—it’s a way to trick your brain into believing that your dream is within reach. Science even supports this! The brain often can’t distinguish between a vividly imagined scenario and reality. So, by immersing yourself in your dream every day, you’re helping to pave the way for it to manifest.
Why It Works
This isn't just about daydreaming. It's about setting intentions and becoming clear on what you want in life. We send these signals to our subconscious, and it starts to believe it! This helps with motivation and taking the action steps we need to move forward towards what you want.
Embrace the Journey
This challenge is about more than setting goals—it’s about rediscovering the joy of dreaming. Life gets busy, and sometimes we put our dreams on the back burner. But allowing yourself to dream, even for a few minutes each day, can bring a sense of curiosity, excitement, and energy back into your life.
You might be surprised by the dreams you uncover.
